Remember when the FIFA corruption scandal was all over the place? Well, it’s back again amid a criminal investigation being opened into its headSepp Blatter.
Late last month, the Swiss attorney generalopened the investigation into FIFA corruption, and since then there’s been pressure surrounding Blatter to step down from his post, including frombig FIFA corporate sponsors.
Well, now FIFA’s own ethics committee has recommended a 90-day suspension for Blatter, and a candidate for Blatter’s position as head of FIFA is considering an embezzlement lawsuit against him.
Chung Mong-Joon calls Blatter a “hypocrite” and liar and says Blatter wasn’t transparent about his salary, as well as accepting unauthorized payments.
Chung said, “The amount of money I can claim against President Blatter is in proportion with the amount of damage he inflicted on FIFA.”
