THANDO Thabethe is gearing up to mingle with international stars such as Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.
The TV and radio presenter is attending the MTV Europe Music Awards at Mediolanum Forum in Milan, Italy on Sunday.
Excited Thando told SunBuzz she was super excited about the trip.
“I will be working with a camera crew who will record all my activities. I will also be keeping my 5FM and MTV fans updated throughout,” she said.
She said she was most excited about the new clothes from Forever New that she will be wearing. “Fashion designers Quiteria & George will also be dressing me for the main event and after party.”
This year’s awards promise a night of epic music.
Award-winning singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran and actress Ruby Rose will host the awards, one of the biggest events on the world music calendar.
It will feature the hottest artists from around the world, including Pharrell Williams, Jason Derulo, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, James Bay, Jess Glynne, Tori Kelly, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, twenty one pilots, Mark Ronson, Ashley Benson and Fifth Harmony.
Africa’s most celebrated artists, including South Africa’s AKA, Nigerians Yemi Alade and Davido, Ivory Coast’s DJ Arafat and Tanzanian hitmaker Diamond Platnumz were nominated for Best African Act.
Diamond won, and will go up against Best India act Priyanka Chopra.
