A Mufakose man has been hauled to court facing charges of severely assaulting his wife over the outcome of a sexually transmitted infection test.
She tested NEGATIVE while the husband Calisto Bisent tested positive. This did not go down well with Bisent and he descended on the poor woman like a tonne of bricks.
The 37-year old however denied the charges when he appeared before Mbare Magistrate Bianca Makwande.
He was remanded to October 14 for trial on $30 bail.
The court was told that on September 26 at around 3pm, Bisent went to a clinic for an STI treatment with his wife Tendai Ndoro.
The two were tested and Ndoro was found negative
Bisent was infuriated by the outcome of the results and then assaulted his wife.
Ndoro, then lodged a complaint to the police, leading to her husband’s arrest.
