FORMER Generations actress and Gospel Gold presenter, Palesa Madisakwane, might return to the soapie sooner than later.
Sunday Sun has learnt that Palesa, who played a character of the same name, has been frequenting the SABC headquarters in Auckland Park, in Joburg.
Sources close to the situation said she’s been having meetings with the producers of Generations: The Legacy for the past two weeks.
One source told Sunday Sun: “Palesa has been seen at the SABC where she’s been discussing her comeback on the soapie.
“They’re desperate to save face as the soapie’s not doing well.
“I’m not sure if Palesa will accept the offer or not, but if Mfundi Vundla dangles a fat carrot in front of her, she’ll definitely take it.”
Another mole claimed the producers are also in talks with other ex-Generations actors.
“Things are hectic at Generations: The Legacy and the producers want to bring back stars who made that show what it used to be.
“When the ship is sailing in stormy waters, you do whatever it takes to bring an experienced captain to save it from sinking, and that’s what is happening at Henley Studios,” the mole said.
When contacted about the matter, Palesa said: “Whether I was at the SABC or not – it has nothing to do with you.
“Why should I tell you about my business?
“What’s your interest?”
Generations publicist, Gaaratwe Mokhethi, was not available for comment. Her cellphone was off.
Her office phone was answered by a woman who identified herself as “Zandile”, an assistant.
Zandile said: “Gaaratwe Mokhethi is not available and that means there will be no comment from Generations: The Legacy.”
