William Mokwana found fong kong money worth R3 400.

WILLIAM Mokwana thought it was his lucky day when he picked up thousands of rands.
But it turned out to be fake money!
William (49), from Mamelodi East, Tshwane said he found the money while digging up sand on Friday to build a wall.
“I came across R400 stashed in the sand.
“I put it in my pocket and kept on working.”
Later he found another R3 000 in R100 notes.
“I ran to a spaza shop to check if the money was real,” William said.
But the shop owner told him he had found fong kong money. William’s neighbour, Joel Maleka, said he had heard about the fake money.
“Skelms often mix fake notes with real money to fool people,” he said.
ANC ward chairwoman Magi Hlongwani said people are worried about the amount of fake money in the area.
