BOB MABENA will add a new show to his TV schedule.
He admitted radio is his first love, but TV has a special place in his heart.
The legendary DJ is a presenter on Please Call Me on Mzansi Magic.
Bob will also be on the newly unveiled DStv channel, GauTV.
He’ll host a show called Young Lions Who Inspire Me, which premieres on the channel in the first week of November.
“I’ve come full circle. To be back on TV doing what I love is a reflection of where I am in my life.
“My radio show and this new show on GauTV will appeal to the same audience. It’s aimed at those who are open to criticism and are good listeners,” Bob told Sunday Sun.
GauTV launched on Monday and is slowly gaining momentum as it introduces new shows and new presenters.
Asked what kind of people can be expected on his show, Bob said: “These are people I’ve met or have read about. One of my guests is my 17-year-old son who just wrote a book.
“I have guests ranging from19-year-olds to 34-year-olds who are doing amazing things in their fields.”
He said the show is about people who inspire him.
“I’ve tried to stay away from celebrities,” he said.
Spokesman for GauTV, Thabo Shole-Mashao, said: “We’re happy to have Bob on board. He has a lot of wisdom to share with viewers.”
He said GauTV shows will highlight the hub of Mzansi, which is Gauteng and its people.) Young Lions Who Inspire Me will air on GauTV (DStv channel 265) from next month.
