AFTER 10 years of marriage, Surprise doesn’t have a single picture of herself with her husband.
But lately she has been getting pictures of her husband almost on a daily basis.
THE PICTURES SHOW HIM GETTING VERY, VERY FRIENDLY WITH ANOTHER WOMAN.
“Not only do the pictures show my husband with this other woman, but I am also getting insulting messages from her,” claimed Surprise Khosa (31) from Kaalfontein, Midrand, Gauteng.
“She tells me I’m a gogo and a farm girl and I don’t know how to satisfy a man. And now she tells me my husband is no longer mine. She says she has him now.”
Surprise said she has been married to her man for 10 years, but they have never had any trouble and she has never checked up on him. “I don’t do what many women do. I don’t go through his stuff or look at his cellphone to see what he is doing,” said Surprise. “I know men cheat and I knew mine would cheat as well. But this is too much now.”
She claimed the trouble started about a month ago when her husband said he had to spend some time with his stepbrother, whose wife had died. “I had no problem with that as I didn’t suspect him of anything,” she said. “But the next day I started getting the pictures on my cellphone from this women. She sent me messages saying no one had died and my husband was lying to me to go and see her,” Surprise claimed.
“I really don’t understand some woman. Why does she have to tell me she is sleeping with my man? Why don’t they just do what they want to do and respect me.”
She said she told the nyatsi she was going to go to the papers but the nyatsi just laughed. “She said I must go because I will be the laughing stock of the country, not her,” said Surprise.
Ellene Ngobeni, the alleged nyatsi, denied ever contacting Surprise. She said Surprise had contacted her first. She said she knew Surprise’s husband from a long time ago when they were both living in Limpopo. “Nothing is happening between us. We are just friends. We just happened to be at the same party and we took a picture,” said Ellene.
“I didn’t send those pictures to her. I’m in a relationship myself. Why would I risk my relationship for someone who is married? I’m not crazy.”
She said she thinks Surprise must have looked at her husband’s cellphone and found the pictures. All attempts to phone Surprise’s man ended up on voicemail and at the time of going to press, he had not replied.
