Thusi took to Instagram to congratulate Noah, writing down on Instagram:
“Ladies and gents... a guy I don't really like but am unbelievably proud of. Thank you for showing us all the limitless possibilities that we all have if we apply ourselves. I wish you all the strength, blessings and SUCCESS !!!! GO TREVOR NOAH GO!!!!”
Her followers immediately expressed disapproval over Thusi saying she doesn’t “really like” Noah.
In return, Thusi clapped back, jotting down:
“I can appreciate the work of someone even if I don't like them. If you don't like me for it, then eat it. This is my instagram. So find your way out,” an unapologetic Thusi added.
“And must I now pretend I like him just coz he's winning??? That's fake. And I don't want to lie to you. Again. If you don't like that. Eat it.”
Asked by one follower why she doesn’t “really like” Noah, Thusi replied;
“[It’s a] long stupid story. It's so petty.”
Radio personality Criselda Kananda even got in on the debate, coming in defence of Thusi in the comment section:
“Insta has a way of bringing out the nasty in people! Why so much hate Kodwa bakithi? Why Can't I say, "I don't like you but I appreciate your work. Congratulations?" On my page nogal! #cyberbullying is a disease.”
